  Fflam Festival Postponed

It’s not been much of a suprise to learn that the Ffam Festival scheduled for 13th - 15th July in Singleton Park in Swansea has been postponed to later on in the summer. The official reason being that the weather has affected the condition of the park after other events there in recent weeks. There has been speculation however, that the real reason the show has been cancelled is that organisers had not arranged police cover for the event.

The lack of camping facilities, the price of tickets, local residents objections and to cap it all off, rumours that Feeder had never actually confirmed they would be playing at Fflam has left would be festival goers with a bitter taste in their mouths.

The question is, with the summer festival season already in full swing, will any of these bands be available for the rescheduled date?

Refunds will be made available from point of sale- however, the booking fee is non refundable. At least the booking agents won’t be out of pocket.

Fflam Festival 2007 Tickets & Hotels

Keep yourselves free from the 13th - 15th of July coz the Manic Street Preachers are coming to town! Over that weekend, Singleton Park in Swansea will be hosting the Fflam Festival. Including The Manics, over 50 bands will play on 4 stages in front of up to 30,000 people! Other acts also include Keane, The Levellers, Feeder and Placebo.

You can buy weekend tickets through the Fflam Festival website- however, at the moment it looks like you have to buy tickets for the whole weekend, rather than for individual days.

If you are thinking of coming to Swansea for the festival you can buy tickets with camping included. If camping is not your thing and you like a nice comfy bed at the end of the day, then why not book a hotel close to the venue? Try Laterooms or Superbreak - but remember to book early as there will be a lot of competition!

The cheapest option might be the Premier Travel Inn and Travelodge, however Swansea hotels are busy at this time of year, so book early. You may find it easier to book rooms in Cardiff and come into Swansea by train, although note the times of the trains as it can be difficult to travel between the two cities late in the evening.
